‘Batter up!’: Terry’s baseball season set to swing into action

  Terry’s baseball season will be swinging into action with C and B league games on tap for home play this week. Coaches Marty Sackman and Tanner Schillinger have been working with youth the past several weeks, despite dismal weather conditions. 

A complete roster of players and game dates will be published in an upcoming Tribune issue. All games begin at 6 p.m.

After strong performance at Elks, Terriers push forward to District meet in Baker

  With four meets under their belt including a strong showing at Glendive’s Elks meet this past weekend, the Terriers track team is heading into the District meet with high expectations.

“Glendive was our test to see if we’re ready,” head coach Leann Lantis said. “And we’re ready.”

Terry youths to play for Miles City Mavericks

  Terry’s Brady Strasheim and Kyle Lassle are playing Legion baseball this season with the Miles City Mavericks.

The Mavs opened their season on April 20th. They will host the Harry Griffith Wood Bat Classic June 27-30th at Connors Stadium.

Track season steps ‘em off despite spring weather blues

  Eastern Montana’s weather has served up less than favorable results for this year’s track and field athletes — but that’s nothing new. Windy, rainy cold conditions with sprinklings of snow is something Terry High School head coach Leann Lantis says she has become accustomed to seeing each year.

Terriers compete at Saturday’s Baker meet

  Despite cooler temperatures, the Terry High School track team gathered Saturday with other area schools to compete in Baker. 

“We competed very well in Baker despite the 21 mph cold winds,” said head coach Leann Lantis in an email to the Tribune.

Terriers jump into track season at Wibaux Invite

  The Terry High School track team competed at the Wibaux Invitational meet held in Glendive April 4 at the Dawson County High School track and field. Eighteen teams competed in the day’s events. 

“It was a good start to the season,” said head coach Leann Lantis. “We saw some competitive areas today. I’m very pleased with the overall performance of the team.”

       Terry High School’s track team is starting out on firm footing, according to head coach Leann Lantis.

With one week of practice under their belts focused on conditioning, the track team has begun working this week on a few techniques for field and running events.
