The Terry High School boys basketball season opener started December 9 with the Terriers traveling to Poplar. Terry won 66-54.
Spaghetti dinner to benefit Terrier cheerleaders
A spaghetti dinner that will support the Terrier cheerleading squad is planned for Saturday, Dec. 17 in conjunction with the Terriers’ first home basketball game. The dinner will help pay for the squad’s uniforms and warm-ups, according to cheerleading coach Shawna Christofferson.

Hysham check station was open Saturday and Sunday, November 26-27, 2011. A total of 194 hunters came through the station. Hunters harvested 81 mule deer: 70 bucks and 11 does, along with 35 white-tails composed of 24 bucks and 11 does. In addition, 18 pheasants, 8 sharp-tails, 3 turkeys and 92 geese were counted through the check station.

Terry High School juniors, Tyler Forcella and Layne Lantis are competing again this year with the Dawson County High School Wrestling team.

With a nice roundup of players and plenty of time to practice for the first game of the season, Terry High School basketball coaches are anticipating how their teams will zigzag their way through the 11 teams of the 4C conference.
Two Terriers selected for Six-Man All-Star game
Terry High School football players Talon Mack and Trevor Pisk have been selected to play on the red team of the 2012 Six-Man All Star game. They are among the 36 players that were selected to play in the annual red versus blue All-Star game. Coaches for the red team include head coach Scott Sparks of Denton and assistant coaches Rod Tweet of Geraldine/Highwood and Rick Adsit of Stanford Geyser.

Terriers named to conference and state teams
Three Terriers were named for the 2011 Eastern Division of the Six-Man All Conference team. They are: Seniors Talon Mack and Trevor Pisk and junior DJ Hubbert.
