Lady Terriers get win over Mustangs

With only one game on their schedule over the Homecoming weekend, the Lady Terriers were able to catch their breath before heading into the last third of their season. The Jordan Lady Mustangs came to town Saturday night to compete against the host Terriers. The Terriers’ varsity girls finished the Mustangs in just three games while the junior varsity squad lost, but took the match to the full five games.

Hysham’s potent offense gets best of Terrier gridders

  The 2009 Homecoming football game pitted the Terriers against the third ranked Hysham Pirates. Although both teams came out fired up and ready for afternoon action, the Pirates came away with a 60-20 win over the Terriers.

Netters gain experience in Circle and Ekalaka match-ups

Thursday evening the Lady Terriers’ volleyball team traveled to Circle to take on the rival Wildcats. With a day off between, they ventured to Bulldog country on Saturday to take part in the Ekalaka Quad meet. Along with Terry and Ekalaka, the other two teams partaking in the quad were the Hysham Lady Pirates and the Lady Longhorns from Wibaux.

Gridders lose at home to Savage

  Saturday’s 90-plus temperatures set the backdrop as Terry took on the Savage Warriors in a high scoring football game. Unfortunately the Terriers came up just short 76-70.

Football 0-1 to start season

       The football team saw their first action of the season after traveling to Jordan Friday night to take on the Mustangs. 

Although the outcome wasn’t in the win column, Terry was able to get some points on the board and get a taste of what the competition has to offer. Jordan outscored Terry 56-33 for the win, giving Terry a 0-1 record to start the season.

off to spend the day in Ekalaka to participate in the Ekalaka Invitational.

In their only action of the week, the Lady Terriers traveled the long road to Jordan on Friday afternoon to take on the Mustangs. Both junior varsity and varsity squads were ready to square off after another week’s work of practice and preparation.

Lady Terriers open season

        The Lady Terriers traveled to St. Labre on Saturday, August 29, where they opened up their 2009 season. Joining the Terriers in the eight team tournament, along with the host Braves, were the Wibaux Longhorns, Rosebud Wranglers, Ekalaka Lady Blue, Circle Wildcats, Jordan Mustangs, and Hysham Lady Pirates.

Cancelation delays football

 Terry High School gridders will have to hold off on their first game of  play this season. 

Although the team was set to meet at Roberts this weekend for their first game, school officials were notified earlier this week that the opposing team is canceling their football season due to injuries, which has left the Roberts team short on players, according to Terry football head coach Casey Schladweiler.
