Alumni teams face off in three games

They are lining up and ready to play. That’s according Sharilyn Kortum, one of a handful of organizers preparing for the crowd pleasing and popular alumni basketball games. With players spanning from 1976 to 2012 graduates, this year’s games are sure to entertain, Kortum said.
With 2-1 record, boys prepare for Wibaux
Winning two of their three games so far this season, the Terry boys are preparing to host the Wibaux Longhorns Thursday. The junior varsity boys are scheduled to play at 4 p.m., followed by a 5:30 girls’ varsity game and a 7 p.m. boys’ varsity game.
Lady Terriers rack up two wins
With three games under their belt, the Lady Terriers have a 2-1 record so far this season. Terry traveled to Poplar Friday, Dec. 7 for the first game of the 2012-13 season. The Terry girls won handily with a 67-34 victory.
Popular alumni games set for Dec. 29
The crowd pleasing and popular alumni basketball games are returning this year. Games will be played Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Terry High School gymnasium. A start time will be announced at a later date.

Basketball teams prepare for season’s opening game, Dec 7

Now into the second week of practices, the Terry High School basketball season is just kicking into gear with coaches from both the girls and boys teams expecting strong, competitive action on the court from their players. Despite the loss of three seniors from last year, overall player numbers for the girls team has remained steady for the 2012-13 season — down only one, from 14 to 13 players.

Traveling to Bridger Saturday for the opening round of the 6-man playoffs, the Terries’ 2012 football season ended with a 62-22 loss.
Lady Terriers advance to Divisional tourney
Finishing fourth at the 2C District tournament the Lady Terriers will advance to play at the Eastern C Divisional tourney Nov. 1-3. Their first game will be Thursday at 10 a.m. against Westby-Grenora
