Terry teams finish out season at District 4C

  The Terriers’ 2011-12 basketball season ended at the District 4C tournament held in Miles City, after both the boys’ and girls’ teams suffered disappointing losses. 

The Lady Terriers came up short in their first round game against the Plevna Cougars Wednesday afternoon with a final score of 49-42. Thursday’s game against Wibaux ended with Terry  falling to the Lady Longhorns 56-36.

       Terry teams competed in two games this past week, beginning with Tuesday night’s matchup in Wibuax where the boys came up short 42-48 and the girls fell to the Lady Longhorns 39-69.

     Terry boys hosted St. Labre Friday night.
    "With Terry seeded 6th in the state, St. Labre was number one, we knew we would have a tough and well matched game," head coach Nathan Christofferson said in an email to the Tribune.

Terry boys continue wins, expect exciting game Friday with St. Labre

Terry boys basketball put two more wins in the book over the weekend. 
They started off by traveling to Ekalaka Friday to take on the Bulldogs. The Terriers started a little slow, but with hard work were able to pick it up for a win, 56-34.

Meetings will address proposed hunting regulations

  Public meetings on Montana’s proposed hunting seasons and regulations for 2012-2013 are set for two eastern Montana communities in January.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear and comment on the proposed regulations, approved for public review by the Montana, Fish,Wildlife & Parks Commission earlier this month.  
Both meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.

Recap of Terry boys basketball season highlights wins

  The Terry High School boys basketball season opener started December 9 with the Terriers traveling to Poplar. Terry won 66-54.

Sergey Fredrickson led the scoring with 19 points. Scoring also was Weston Luedtke 9, Talon Mack 11, Trevor Pisk 11, DJ Hubbert 13 and Tyler Sackman with 3 points.
Terry traveled the to Savage the following day, falling to the Warriors 30-40.

Spaghetti dinner to benefit Terrier cheerleaders

  A spaghetti dinner that will support the Terrier cheerleading squad is planned for Saturday, Dec. 17 in conjunction with the Terriers’ first home basketball game. The dinner will help pay for the squad’s uniforms and warm-ups, according to cheerleading coach Shawna Christofferson.

Final report reveals lower harvest numbers

  Hysham check station was open Saturday and Sunday, November 26-27, 2011. A total of 194 hunters came through the station. Hunters harvested 81 mule deer: 70 bucks and 11 does, along with 35 white-tails composed of 24 bucks and 11 does. In addition, 18 pheasants, 8 sharp-tails, 3 turkeys and 92 geese were counted through the check station.

Terry wrestlers competing with Red Devils

  Terry High School juniors, Tyler Forcella and Layne Lantis are competing again this year with the Dawson County High School Wrestling team. 

“Tyler and Layne are extremely hard workers,” stated head coach Tim Zody in an email to the Tribune. “This is why they have been so successful.”
