It was a blistering hot day for competitors and spectators alike during the 10th annual Terry Ranch Rodeo held in conjunction with the Prairie County Fair on Sunday, August 8. The roster was full as twelve teams from surrounding areas traveled to town for the competition.

Stickel earns offensive MVP at All-Star game

Tanner Stickel demonstrated his offensive finesse during the 14th annual 6-Man All-Star football game in Highwood. Completing a 21-yard pass in the fourth quarter – one of seven passes for a total of 187 yards – Stickel not only contributed to the Red team win over the Blue team, he received the Offensive MVP award.
First place titles highlight team’s state meet results
It had already proven to be a positive track season. Personal bests were achieved, first place district trophies for both the girls’ and boys’ teams were brought home and many from the team qualified to compete in the Top Ten track meet.
Eleven move on to state track meet in Great Falls
After a strong showing at last week’s Southern C Divisional, where both the Terry boys and girls teams placed third, 11 of the 17 from the Terry High School track team will be competing at the state meet in Great Falls.
Track teams bring home district first place trophies
The Terry High School girls’ and boys’ track teams each earned first place trophies at the District 4C meet in Miles City. It was the second year in a row that the Terry teams earned the top spot at the district meet, which includes up to 11 teams from eastern Montana Class C schools.

So far, Terry High School’s track season predictions made earlier by head coach Leann Lantis have proven accurate. The season has gone as planned - that is, except for the weather. Meet cancelations and partial team participation, due to scheduling conflicts with other high school events, have frustrated an otherwise ambitious and successful season.
