'Scopeman’ is one of dozen

Great Falls, Mont., “Scopeman” Mick Peabody was one of a dozen vendors exhibiting items at the Prairie County Sportsmen Association’s annual Sportsmen Show, held earlier this month at the county fairgrounds.

Peabody offered an assortment of scopes and binoculars among other items, including Leupold, Burris and Zeiss brands. A varied selection of used scopes was on hand as well. He has been attending Terry’s sportsmen show for about 7 years. Noting fewer people and vendors at this year’s show, Peabody said attending shows like Terry’s is about more than selling equipment.
“This is not a show I do to make a lot of money,” Peabody said. “This is a show I do more for socially.”
He and his wife Beverley travel in an RV to attend the sportsmen shows in Terry and Glendive.
