Yippee! weekend offers family fun for all

Terry Yippee! is Saturday and preparations have been underway to make the town-wide celebration a fun event for all.

From the cornhole toss to the Arenacross and ATV pull, to pool games and free treats and activities for children in Murn Park, the day’s events include something for everyone. The popular street dance wraps up the day, with the band Spectrum performing.
Here’s a breakdown of what’s taking place this weekend:

The Prairie County Chamber of Commerce, along with church, civic and other groups have been working together to spruce up the town’s appearance and ensure a well organized and fun day. So if you’re up for getting out and visiting with folks you haven’t seen in awhile, and maybe those you have, or just taking part in a few of the activities offered or watching those who do, Terry Yippee is a great place to start.
Hats off to those who have worked to continue Terry’s Yippee! tradition and lets not forgot those who got the Yippee! ball rolling 30 years ago.
