The Terry Tribune received three awards during the Montana Newspaper Association’s annual convention held in Lewistown on Saturday, June 11. The Tribune earned one first place plaque and two third place awards for small weeklies.
A first place plaque was received for Best Local Column for the following three columns: “Accusations cannot spoil a true victor’s win”, “Loss offers reminder of highest treasure”, and “Facebook: Not ready to sign on to the latest communication tool”. Two third place awards were received for Best Feature Story-General for “Men Recall Life-altering moment,” and Best Issue Coverage-Justice System Issues for coverage of the Keystone XL pipeline issue.
The MNA’s 2010 Better Newspaper Contest was judged this year by the Wyoming Press Association.
