Montana author to visit Terry students

        Montana author Sneed B. Collard III will be visiting Terry Schools on Thursday, May 19.  

Collard, who lives in Missoula,  is the author of more than 55 books for young readers, including the award-winning books, Science Warriors-The Battle Against Invasive Species; Wings and Shep, Our Most Loyal Dog.   
He has written dozens of outstanding nonfiction books and is well on his way to becoming one of today’s leading children’s authors.  
Sneed’s school presentations will focus on teaching children about the natural world in fun and stimulating ways.  His love of science, nature and writing, along with his fun personality will delight and inspire students.  
He has been honored with Washington Post’s Children’s Book Guild 2006 Children’s nonfiction writer of the year award and is the winner of AAAS/Subaru/Science Books & Films Prize for Excellence in Science Books.  
His most recent books, The World Famous Bucking Horse Sale and The Governor’s Dog is Missing! have just been released last fall. The Governor’s Dog is the first in a series of Montana mysteries.  Books will be available for purchase while he is here and can be autographed by the author.
