Two Terry businesses celebrate 15 year anniversary

By Kay Braddock

Prairie Unique and Sassy One are joining together to commemorate their 15-year anniversary of being in business in downtown Terry. Both businesses were in operation before moving to Terry’s downtown district.
Sassy One owner Glenda Ueland and Prairie Unique owners Dale and Kathy Galland are inviting the public to join in their mile marker celebration Friday, Nov. 19 from 2-5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Light refreshments and in-store specials are being offered during the two-day open house.

Prairie Unique began business in Terry in November of 1995, known then simply as Dale’s. The Galland’s business moved from their home near Fallon and included upholstery work and a small collection of Montana made items. Prairie Unique, located at 114 S. Logan in the former Kaul’s Clothing store, has expanded to include a wide variety of Montana made gifts, model airplanes, toys, clothing and jewelry items. Dale Galland continues to perform upholstery work.
In November of 1995 Sassy One moved out of the Ueland home residence in Terry, where it began as Sassy Scissors, into the building at 205 S. Logan. The Sassy One business is now located in the former Terry Drug Store building at 118 S. Logan. With more room at its newest location the Terry clothing business offers a wide variety of clothing and jewelry items as well as a salon  service in back.
Both businesses have remained active in the Prairie County Chamber of Commerce.
