Prairie County Republicans will be hosting a Lincoln-Reagan luncheon Sunday, Mar. 7 where U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg will be the keynote speaker at the annual afternoon meeting.
“We’ve been very fortunate to get him to come to Terry, Montana on a regular basis,” Prairie County Republican Central Committee Chairman Larry Keltner said of Rehberg’s visit.
Rehberg, who is seeking his sixth term in the U.S. House, will discuss current issues to get “everybody informed” and provide a brief question and answer period, Keltner said.
Other speakers will include Adam Gilbertson of the Yellowstone County Young Republicans, and Eric Moore of Miles City, who is seeking the district 20 state senate seat, being vacated by Keith Bales who has termed out.
Moore, a native of Colorado, will offer a “meet and greet” period to those attending the event.
Statewide topics expected to be discussed are Montana’s redistricting process of legislative districts and the development of Otter Creek, where the state is currently seeking bidders to lease state lands that include large tracts of coal reserves.
Election of RCC officers will follow. Currently other RCC officers include Judy Singleton, vice chairman, Carol Larsen, secretary/treasurer and Todd Devlin finance chairman.
The event is open to the public.
