Terry hospital hires physician assistant

 From the Glendive Medical Center

Glendive Medical Center announces the hiring of Larry Masterson, PA-C for the Prairie Community Hospital in Terry.

Masterson began work at PCH last week, and joins Chip Mintz, PA-C in caring for patients in Terry.
“I like practicing in rural America. I get the chance to see everything and treat every kind of patient. The town of Terry is so relaxing, and the people here seem happy. Terry feels like a hometown instead of feeling like a place where I work,” Masterson said.
Masterson earned both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Springfield College, in Springfield, Mass. in 2008.  Before accepting the position at PCH, Masterson was employed at Daniels Memorial Healthcare Center in Scobey. He has received clinical training in family medicine and geriatrics, inpatient medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, emergency medicine, rural health care and pediatrics.
Additionally, Masterson is licensed with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, the Montana Board of Medical Examiners and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
He is certified with the American College of Surgeons and the American Heart Association. Masterson has also been an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
