High school basketball gears up for season

       Athletes in Terry High have hung up their cleats and volleyball shoes and have laced up their basketball sneakers. Basketball practice for the high school ball players began on Monday, Nov., 23.

Leading the boys’ team this year is head coach Casey Klasna. Assisting Klasna is Nathan Christofferson. Eleven boys fill out the roster, beginning with seniors Taylor Pisk and Tanner Stickel. Two juniors fill out the upperclassman roster with Jerett Freiboth and Trayton Schroeber. Sophomores are Weston Luedtke, Trevor Pisk, and Talon Mack. Freshmen participants are Sergey Fredrickson, Tyler Arjanen, DJ Hubbert, and Wyatt Anderson.
At the helm for the girls’ team is head coach Sharilyn Kortum. Assisting Kortum this season is Les Thomason. The Lady Terriers have no seniors
this year, however, the junior class boasts the largest number with Kristina Fredrickson, Lorna Wollman, Amanda Haidle, Franque Robertson, Carly Stickel, and Dani Dukart filling out the upper classman roster. The sophomore class has two players in Ashley Morast and Amy Browning. Anna Fredrickson and Lindsay Stickel are the two freshman who complete the roster of ten players.
The teams will have their first game of the season at home on Dec. 12 against the Custer Cougars.
