Lady Terriers get win over Mustangs

With only one game on their schedule over the Homecoming weekend, the Lady Terriers were able to catch their breath before heading into the last third of their season. The Jordan Lady Mustangs came to town Saturday night to compete against the host Terriers. The Terriers’ varsity girls finished the Mustangs in just three games while the junior varsity squad lost, but took the match to the full five games.
In varsity action, Terry beat Jordan 25-20, 25-23, 25-20. 
Statistics are as follows: Kills 34 – Dani Dukart led with 17; Assists 28 – Jordan Freiboth led with 19; Aces 12 – Freiboth, Lorna Wollman, Ashley Morast led with 3 each; Digs 29 – Morast led with 8; Blocks 4 – Dukart led with 3.
For the Mustangs: Kills 20 – Billing 6; Assists 21 – Thomas 14; Aces 10 – Shawver 4; Digs 33 – Murnion 14; Blocks 4 – Wright 3.
In junior varsity action, Jordan defeated Terry 25-18, 13-25, 15-13, 4-15, 15-12. 
Statistics are as follows: Kills 32 – Sadie Kinn led with 12; Assists 21 – Lindsay Stickel led with 19; Aces 18 – Courtney Ban led with 7; Digs 29 – Lana Hoagland led with 7; Blocks 1 – Kinn had the only block.
Next on the slate for the Lady Terriers is a trip to Scobey to compete in the Scobey Invitational Tournament on Saturday, October 10.
