The football team saw their first action of the season after traveling to Jordan Friday night to take on the Mustangs.
Although the outcome wasn’t in the win column, Terry was able to get some points on the board and get a taste of what the competition has to offer. Jordan outscored Terry 56-33 for the win, giving Terry a 0-1 record to start the season.
Offensively, Terry garnered several yards. They passed for a team total of 236 yards completing four touchdowns. Quarterback Jerett Freiboth led the team in passing as he was 22 of 35 for 221 yards. Tanner Stickel led with receiving yards as he caught the ball 10 times for 141 yards. Taylor Pisk caught the ball 6 times for 43 yards.
In the rushing category, Terry gathered 50 yards for one touchdown. Weston Luedtke led the team in rushing, carrying the ball 13 times for 24 yards.
For return yards, Terry was able to achieve 130 yards, but no resulting touchdowns.
Stickel and Trevor Pisk gathered all of Terry’s kick return yards with 105 and 25 yards respectively.
All of Terry’s scoring came from their offensive efforts for a total of 33 points. Here’s how they achieved those points: Tanner Stickel 36-yard pass from Jerett Freiboth (kick failed); Trevor Pisk 15-yard pass from Freiboth (Freiboth kick); Talon Mack 9-yard pass from Weston Luedtke (kick failed); Luedtke 1-yard rush (kick failed); Stickel 15-yard pass from Freiboth (Luedtke run).
Defensively, Terry was led by Stickel with ten tackles. Sergey Fredrickson and DJ Hubbert followed with seven and six tackles respectively. Luedtke had a team high of nine tackle assists. Also on the defensive end, Stickel recovered two fumbles and had one interception. Fredrickson also earned an interception.

Terry will spend this week in practice preparing for their first home game of the season as they host the Savage Warriors this Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1:00 p.m.
