Tribune brings home awards

       The Terry Tribune was recognized with four awards during the Montana Newspaper Association’s annual banquet held June 20 in Kalispell. 

Awards included: Best Spot News Picture: First Place, Kay Braddock, “Fallon Elevator Fire”;  Community Service: Second Place, coverage on access to Terry Badlands on Scenic View Road; Best Sports Feature Story: Third Place, Sharilyn Kortum, “Elite Eight status highlights career,” article highlighting the high school and college career of Lacey Haughian; Best Editorial Writing: Honorable Mention, Kay Braddock.
The 2008 Better Newspaper Contest was judged by members of the North Dakota Newspaper Association. Division I Weeklies include newspapers throughout the state with a total circulation of 1,499 or less.
