        Attention, runners!

Make this summer special with a race through the scenic badlands of Terry, Mont.
The first Terry Badlands Trail Run will take place on Saturday, June 27. Runners can choose from 5K and 10K runs or a one-mile fun run, following the beautiful Calypso Trail through the badlands near Terry.
The challenging 10K course winds through the region’s impressive formations and then up several steep hills, leading to a vista of Chimney Rock. The 5K course is more gentle, with a turn-around point before the largest hills. The $20 registration fee includes a T-shirt and post-race drinks and snacks. Top male and female runners will win prizes donated by local businesses. Kids fun run free (no T-shirt included).
Pre-registration is available now through a printable form at www.geocities.com/terry_badlands_trail_run/index. Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Race line-up is at 9 a.m.
The Calypso Trailhead is located on the old Milwaukee Road between Terry and the Powder River exit. Signs from the trailhead will direct runners to a parking area. For more detailed directions, please see the Web site.
The run is sponsored by the Prairie County Economic Development Council. Any profits generated will go to support future efforts to promote the Terry area.
