Signing in for a new year

With this week’s start of the 2014-15 school year at Terry Schools, teachers and staff will be adjusting to several changes, as they prepare to welcome an expected 144 students to the first day of school. The August 20th start date will be met with new school secretary Roberta Roelfsema, pictured above, new Family and Consumer Science teacher Vicky Tusler, new high school shop teacher Terry Roelfsema and new Resource Room educator Dora Huckins.

Other changes will include a combined fourth and fifth grade class taught by instructor Susan Tyler, as last year’s fourth grade teacher Tammi Prete moves into a new position of teaching junior high math and science classes, replacing Nancy Pehl, who will be teaching high school math classes. A pre-school class, taught by former FCS teacher Jody Haidle, will also be starting October 2 and will be held in a lower level room of the high school building each Tuesday and Thursday through May 14.
