Terry’s annual townwide Terry Yippee celebration was held Saturday, July 26. The day’s events began with Yippee 10k, 5k and fun runs. Downtown businesses welcomed shoppers with sidewalk sales and special deals.
Afternoon activities included the corn hole tournament and a barbecue lunch served by chamber members, held in Murn Park. The Terry Swimming Pool was open and a bounce house, cotton candy and sno cone stand invited kids of all ages to enjoy the day. The downtown street dance concluded the days events.
Seventy runners took part in the Yippee runs, that welcomed cooler temperatures than normal. With a breezy 61 degrees runners started their 6.2 and 3.1 mile runs.

Young runners lead a part of the pack at the start of the 5K run.

Those coming in first were: men 5k Layne Lantis, 16:23; men 10k Dave Relss, Boulder Colo., 49:02; 5k women Laiten Lantis 23:09; women 10k Amy Vojacek, Glendive 49:52; fun run 10 and under boys Landen Schilling 9:17; fun run girls Alysha Mendenhall 8:57.

Fifty teams competed in the corn hole tournament, which began at 11 am and ended about 5 pm. The winning team included Isaac DeLoach and Jamey Frost; competing against the pair in the championship round were Justin Kinn and Dylan McCulley.
