Senior companion recognized for 14-year service

     Lilly Corneliusen, who has served as a Senior Companion for the past 14 years in Prairie County, was recently honored for her work with the Action for Eastern Montana program.

      She was presented with a plaque for her service and honored in both Miles City and Glendive.

     With 13,328 hours under her belt, Corneliusen has spent the last 14 years as Senior Companion helping other seniors with grocery shopping and transporting them to and from doctor appointments, among other duties.

      There are currently about a dozen seniors who rely on the program. With Corneliusen’s retirement, the other Senior Companions include: Rita Plann, Sandy Sperline and Don Haver.
