The Terry High School volleyball team is hosting a “Make it Pink” event for the October 19 home games where the Terriers will play Broadus.
Along with donning pink gear, including t-shirts, headbands and shoe laces, the girls are encouraging the support of all fans.
“We’re inviting everyone to wear pink, including those fans from Broadus,” said Cheryl Morrison, who is helping organize the event.
Besides showing support, fans have another reason to wear pink, Morrison explained. Raffle tickets will be handed out for each pink item of clothing worn. Drawing winners will be announced between games. Prizes will include donated items from local businesses.
A table of baked goods and crafty pink-themed items will also be available in the high school lobby for a silent auction.
Funds raised from the Oct. 19 event will be donated to a cancer research and awareness program of the team’s choosing.
Individuals or businesses interested in donating or helping with the “Make it Pink” event may contact Morrison at 307-689-6262. Items can be dropped off with Morrison at the high school on the day of the event beginning at 4 p.m.
