Arnold “Arnie” Gaub, 77

  Arnold “Arnie” Gaub, age 77 of Alpine, Wyo., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 in Paso Robles, Calif. Arnie was born in Marsh, Mont., and graduated from Terry High School.  

Flying and talking about flying was the favorite way for Arnie to spend his day. He flew many of his friends to Canada on fishing trips. 
Arnie enjoyed any outdoor activity. Among his favorites were hunting, fly fishing, snow activities and walking. He was a volunteer fireman and member of the Top of the Rockies Snowmobile Club. He helped with every car show and was involved with the Alpine Mountain Days early on.  When Arnie built his home he installed a gourmet kitchen and knew how to use it! Arnie’s Cowboy Stew was a favorite among his friends.  
He also built a greenhouse and raised a wonderful garden.   Arnie sang with the Jackson Hole Chorale and loved the Christmas concerts.  
He is survived by one sister, Lorraine Minow Spearfish, S.D.; brothers Harold Gaub Fallon, Mont., and Leo Gaub Missoula, Mont., (now deceased).  He was preceded in death by one sister Eleanor Klapmeier, brother Alvin Gaub and parents Lydia (Gaub) Meidinger and Christian Gaub.
