Community meal to be held Thanksgiving Day at Bolin

Volunteers are gearing up for the popular community Thanksgiving dinner. Held at the Bolin multi-purpose room, the Thanksgiving community meal has proven popular since its inception seven years ago.

The meal will begin about 12:30 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 22 and will feature the traditional Thanksgiving meal dishes including turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, homemade fresh rolls and plenty of salads. The meal also includes relish trays and dessert favorites, highlighting a wide variety of fresh pies.
The meal is made possible through the efforts of local volunteers Jerroll and Barb Rittal, Chip and Ginny Mintz and Frank and Judy Cramer among others and through the donations of individuals and local businesses. The Prairie County Chamber of Commerce has donated several turkeys to this year’s meal.
Deliveries of meals are available as well as rides to the community meal. For more information or to donate to the meal please call Barb Rittal at 635-2163.
