Wash., male killed in ATV accident

A 54-year-old Wash., male was pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday morning in the Cabin Creek area of Prairie County after suffering injuries sustained from an All Terrain Vehicle accident.

John Curtis of Grayland, Wash., was one of two men contracted by the Bureau of Land Management to spray weeds on federal land in the Cabin Creek area.
The accident occurred near the Prairie-Fallon county line, according to Prairie County Sheriff Bill Klunder, who responded to the call about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, along with County Coroner Dale Hellman.
Curtis was thrown from the John Deere Gader he was driving after hitting a hole.
