Yippee! will include alumni band and return of popular run

As Terry Yippee! organizers prepare to set in motion the town-wide celebration held each year during the last Saturday of July, new and popular returning activities are being planned.

One of those activities includes the formation of an All School Alumni Band, being organized by Terry High School music teacher JoDee Hess. In conjunction with Terry Yippee!, Terry Schools will be celebrating 100 years of graduating students during Yippee! weekend. With that in mind, Hess is hoping to  attract former students to dust off old instruments and hone in on lingering musical talents.
Those interested in performing with the All School Alumni Band can contact Hess by email at tmusict@midrivers.com or by calling 635-2106.
The return of the popular Terry Yippee! Run is being headed up by Leann Lantis. Registration for a  10K, 5K and Kids Run will be held at the Stockman Bank parking lot, Saturday, July 28 from 7a.m. to 8 a.m. The 10K will begin at 8:15 a.m., the 5K at 8:30 a.m, with the Kids Fun Run following.
The registration fee is $20, for those signing up by July 15. Late registration will cost an additional $5. Runners will receive a t-shirt and refreshments. Proceeds raised will benefit the THS Close-Up.
For more information please call Lantis at (406) 951-3482 or email at lantis@midrivers.com
