Bolin students tie-dye shirts

Third grader Shawn Johnson looks on as classmate Colton Braddock adds more orange dye to a bag of t-shirts. The Monday afternoon activity took place on the Bolin playground under the watchful eye of teacher Jeannine Freiboth, as students took turns adding more color to the once white t-shirts.
Bolin students will wear their tie-dye shirts for Friday’s barbecue and track day, where parents are invited to attend a school-board hosted lunch and afternoon of track and field events for elementary students.

The t-shirts, color-coded by grades with kindergartners wearing green, first graders yellow and second graders wearing blue, will also be worn during the field trip day and for the final day of school.
