With half a dozen decoratively created bras already donated and over a dozen more expected for the second annual Bras for Cause event in Terry, Piney Helmuth, who is one of a handful of organizers, is anticipating another fun and successful show.
The bras will be modeled by male volunteers and auctioned during the Saturday, April 21 event at the American Legion. A free-will donation dinner will start off the evening at 5:30 p.m., with the auction beginning at 7 p.m. Funds raised from the evening will be donated to the American Cancer Society to aid in cancer research.
Silent auction items will include several works from local artists. Decorated bras and other items can be dropped off at the courthouse until Thursday.
Last year’s event raised $3,600 for the American Cancer Society.
