Bertha Maria Netzer Pisk, 84

      Bertha Maria Netzer Pisk, age 84, quietly passed away at her home on March 4, 2012, in Terry, Montana. 

    Bertha was born in Zap, North Dakota on June 3, 1927 to Mike and Pauline (Finkbiener) Netzer. She had 10 siblings, Louie, Martin, Ernest, Christine, Anna, Ervin, and Hertha Netzer as well as Herbert, Frieda, and Pauline Gienger.  Bertha attended Echo Ridge School 2 ½ miles from her parents’ home as well as Fallon School and Terry High School.    In 1944 Bertha married Carl (Bud) Pisk in Glendive Montana.  Together they made their home on Bud’s parent’s farm north of Fallon, MT. Bertha and Bud together raised five sons and daughters on their family farm.  Bertha’s family will remember her as a master at making noodles, bread, frying chicken and making hundreds of pierogis for family gatherings.
     Bertha enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. Bertha was loved and admired by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her unspoken love for each of them is an inspiration to the entire family. Her family was everything to her.  
     Bertha was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Alter Society, and the Fallon PTA.
     Bertha is survived by her children; 5 sons, Jerry (Sharon) of Terry, Mike (Thomas Smith) of Oakland, California, Tom (Kay) Pisk of Terry, Jim (Wendy) Pisk of Anchorage, Alaska, Darryl Pisk (Molly Anderson) of Miles City; 4 daughters,  Judy (Donald) Ulrich of Fallon, Janice (Harold) Wallace of Terry, Sharon (Ron) Rosa of Bozeman, and Shirley (David) Martin of Sterling, Colorado; her grandchildren, Kevin, Duane, John (Emilia), Rosanna, Rachel, and Becky Tridgidga, Mark Ulrich, Heather (Matt) Bunkers, Jeff Wallace, Marty Kimball, Brandi Kimball, Cami (Matt) Cetlinski, Tony Martin, Sarah, Taylor, and Trevor Pisk, Megan and Callie Pisk, Adrian and Alyssa Anderson; great-grandchildren Madalyn, Monique, and Maria Bunkers, April and Tyson Pisk, Emily Tridgidga, Paige Krier-Martin, Braedon, Ethan and William Cetlinski; a sister Freida Lewis of Billings, a brother in law Pete Pisk and his wife Ella Mae, sister in law Darlane Pisk and a special friend Heather Carter.  Bertha was in preceded in death by her husband, Bud, parents and nine siblings.
     A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Terry.  Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot of the Prairie County Cemetery.  Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Terry is in charge of the arrangements.
     Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Prairie County Hospital Foundation.
